If you’re new and free on a Tuesday afternoon\, please come along and get involved. \nTo get here\, come through the gate at the back of the Toby Carvery car park – the allotments are on the right hand side\, past the portacabins. Click here to get directions to the farm. \nAccess notes: It’s level access (no stairs) from the tarmac car park\, to a compacted stone path\, onto an uneven grassy field. (PS. If you’re a chef we can grow to order next season if there are pumpkins you’d especially love on your menu).\nIf you are a Grower at home\, the allotment or commercially – pumpkins take up valuable space so you want to be sure you’re growing ones you love and that give you enough food for your labour of love.\n\n(PS. Kids and younger palates are very welcome\, but they might get a little bored depending on how much they are into food) \nPricing\nWe are asking that you make a donation for a ticket to join us – this will go towards helping us cover the cost of our time to grow\, prepare and share the produce and also supports the work of the farm co-op. \nIn line with our Community Supported Agriculture Veg pricing we are offering suggested donations to join us on a solidarity pricing model. \nThose who can are encouraged to pay a little more for their ticket\, and those who need it are encouraged to accept a discount. The idea is that by paying on a sliding scale\, we hope to foster more justice\, equity and diversity in our food system and society. \nIf you think you might be able to pay a little more for your ticket please ‘offer solidarity’. If you feel that you need a discount please select a discounted or free ticket. There’s no questions asked – it’s available if you feel you need it. \nSuggested Donations\nFree if you need it = £0.0\nSolidarity -50% = £5.00\nSolidarity -20% = £7.50\nStandard = £10.00 (this price helps cover our costs)\nSolidarity +20% = £12.50\nSolidarity +50% = £15.00 \nWhat price should I pay within the solidarity scheme model?\nWe suggest you consider offering a solidarity donation if you agree with one of more of the below:\n> I feel I am able to and would like to stand in solidarity with others.\n> I feel I am able to stand in solidarity with the work of Lauriston Farm to promote biodiversity and restore habitats.\n> I am able to meet all of my basic needs and have some disposable income.\n> I have access to savings and/or inherited money.\n> My rent/mortgage payments are less than 30% of my monthly income. \nWe suggest you consider making a smaller donation or accepting a free ticket if you agree with one or more of the below:\n> I frequently stress about meeting basic needs and don’t always achieve them.\n> I have no or very limited expendable income.\n> I do unpaid care work.\n> I do not qualify for state funds due to your immigration status.\n> I support children or other dependents on one income.\n> I have to work part time /am on a low income i.e. working less than 16 hours per week.

We can take cash and card payments. \nLooking forward to seeing you there! \nIf you haven’t been before…  \nCome in via the Toby Carvery on Lauriston Farm Road (EH4 5EX) through the entrance at the back of the car park – the stall will be outside the containers at that farm entrance. \nLothian Buses 16\, 27\, 29\, 37 & 41 all stop within 5 minutes of the farm. \nAccess notes: it is level access\, with a tarmac surface in the Toby Carvery car park and a rougher compacted stone path once onto the farm.
