Lauriston Farm

Cycle Ride to Lauriston

We are really excited to be working with Edinburgh and Lothians Regional Equalities Council (ELREC) and Communities for Conservation for their community cycle ride on the 26th September. The event is supported by SUSTRANS and is part of a Walk, Wheel, Cycle weekend of events to promote active travel in North Edinburgh.

The ride will go from NKS (near the Meadows) or North Edinburgh Arts to the new Lauriston Farm via North Edinburgh Arts, the Cramond promenade and back!

The ride is on cycle paths and is relatively flat. There will be cycle ride leaders, so everybody can join! Children are welcome under adult supervision.

The ride will stop by Lauriston Farm on the way back.

When: Sunday 26th September at 12:15pm to 4pm.
Where: 12:15pm at NKS, Darroch Annexe, 7 Gillespie St, Edinburgh EH3 9NH
Or 1pm at North Edinburgh Arts, 15a Pennywell Rd, Edinburgh EH4 4TZ in front of Greggs.

There are a limited number of bikes available for lending at NKS. Please get in touch by emailing if you need a bike and they'll see what they can do.
Please bring:
• A roadworthy bike
• Helmet
• Water
• Your own packed lunch.
• Sunscreen
• Waterproofs
The route is about 9 miles return and will take us along the cycle paths towards Lauriston Farm. There will be some road sections.
There will be a picnic break in Lauriston Farm and opportunities to ask questions and share your ideas about the farm.

After that, the group will cycle back to NKS

A great opportunity to meet new people from across Edinburgh, explore new cycle routes and discover our exciting new community farm in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

Looking forward to welcoming you!
