Birdsong Survey Walk

The final walk of the 2026 survey. This spring, for the fifth year, Prof John Frank is leading Birdsong Identification Walks around the periphery of Lauriston Farm, once a month from March to June. These walks are a survey – to count the bird species on the farm, which is important information for the co-op as we work to increase biodiversity, and John also uploads the survey results to the national Breeding Bird Survey.

You don’t need to know birdsong to be able to attend – John will teach the group how to use the Merlin app for smart phones, so beginners are more than welcome; it’s a great chance to learn.
