Birdsong Survey Walk

May 17 @ 6:00 am - 8:00 am

This spring, for the fourth year, Prof John Frank is leading Birdsong Identification Walks around the periphery of Lauriston Farm, once a month from March to June. These walks are a survey – to count the bird species on the farm, which is important information for the co-op as we work to increase biodiversity, and John also uploads the survey results to the national Breeding Bird Survey.

You don’t need to know birdsong to be able to attend – John will teach the group how to use the Merlin Bird ID app for smart phones, so beginners are more than welcome; it’s a great chance to learn.

Early starts for early birds – join us at 6am on Saturday 17 May.  Sign up sheet here: https://volunteersignup.org/7AKAR
