August 6 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
A white wavy line on a green background above the words: Find out more about this... Free Community Event

Come and share some soup, salad and delicious bread from Granton Garden Bakery.

Everyone welcome, newcomers and auld hands, no need to book – just come along and eat. We will be at the hand-built Kitchen in the Community Garden and Allotments.

Meals Are Free Thanks to the Funders

The Community Meals are part of our Community Kitchen Table project, which is kindly funded by The University of Edinburgh Community Grants Fund.

The Community Kitchen Table brings people together to harvest, cook, preserve, and share nutritious, locally-sourced food – it’s North Edinburgh residents eating well, learning new skills, and supporting one another.

The meal will be in the Community Allotments & Garden. To find us, come in through the gate at the back of the Toby Carvery car park, go through the farmyard to the fenced Allotments & Garden on the right hand side (past the ‘Welcome’ portacabin). When you come into the garden, you’ll spot the community kitchen.

The Allotments & Garden are on uneven grassy ground, which can be muddy.

This is an outdoor event – please dress for windy north Edinburgh. The Community Kitchen has a small indoor workspace, the seating area is on an open-sided wooden deck. There is a short ramp up to the wooden deck.

There is a spacious, single cubicle, level access, gender-neutral composting toilet in the garden.
