Come and see our beautiful heritage Scottish grains, which we’re growing in partnership with Granton Community Gardeners. Learn about the history of our Rouge D’Ecosse (by way of Granton) and our Hebridean landrace of Rye and Oats. Visit the ancient grains of Spring Bere as well as Rye and wheat from Scotland the Bread. There will be tasters, opportunities to draw and appreciate the loveliness of the grain that gives us so much of our staple food.
We will hear about how Grass Roots Remedies will use the Oats in their Herbal Remedies and how Rhyze Mushrooms can use the straw for producing mushrooms.
