Drop-in Volunteering Changing to Summer Hours
From Tuesday 14th May…
Drop-in volunteering sessions will run twice a week, Tuesdays and Thursdays (2pm-5pm) from Tuesday 14th May throughout the summer.
In the longer, warmer days, the growing season is in full swing and we’d love to have you join us in the Community Garden. You don’t need to know about plants already – it’s a good place to learn (and if you do have knowledge, it’s a good place to share it).
To get here, come through the gate at the back of the Toby Carvery car park – the Community Garden and Allotments are in the fenced area on the right hand side, past the portacabins.

There is a mix of heavy and light jobs, you can go at your own pace and choose the ones that are right for you. Everyone can choose based on their health and mobility on the day. And there is always a tea break!
Access notes: There are no stairs but it is an uneven grassy field. Improved pathways for wheelchair access are under construction – at the moment, your wheelchair or mobility device would need to be able to go on rough grassy ground. There are some raised beds. There is a gender-neutral, wheelchair accessible, composting toilet within the allotment site. You are welcome to drop in or email to ask more about access.
You don’t need to book, but if you have any questions you can email Lisa and Agnes on communityallotments@lauristonfarm.org
