Free Dandelion festival events this week

Drop in drawing, parade percussion crewe, fermentation workshop, cantasoria and Cranky theatre writing…

MONDAY 22nd 6-8pm
Percussion Parade Crewe – it’s not too late to join! Open to adults and young people age 14+ who want to learn percussion skills from musician in residence Jose Rojas to play in the Harvest Festival parade. Don’t worry if you missed the first workshop – we can catch you up.

WEDNESDAY 24th 6-8pm
Last chance to join the cast to rehearse North Edinburgh’s new Cantasoria! You can join in with this community-made ‘story song’ rehearsal and be part of the performance at the Harvest Festival.

THURSDAY 25th 2-4pm
Art in the Garden with Komachi Goto – a relaxed, drop-in drawing session in the Unexpected Garden, using nature as inspiration. No need to book – just come along. Materials provided or bring your own if you prefer.

THURSDAY 25th 6-8pm
Fermentation workshop with Grass Roots Remedies. Don’t forget to come along to this great workshop if you reserved a place – or, if you now can’t make it, please cancel your space so someone on the waiting list can take it. SATURDAY 27th 11am-1pm or 2-4pm
Writing workshop for the Cranky Theatre Show – led by writer Vicky Nyanga. Working with Vicky, you can help write the words to go with the amazing image scroll and music made in earlier workshops, to be performed at the Harvest Festival. No previous experience needed – if you’ve never done anything like this before, now’s the time. For all ages (under 14s with an adult).
