We joined the massive crowds at the Global Day of Action for Climate Justice in Glasgow on Saturday. We walked in the Farmers and Landworkers Bloc, who were marching for agroecological solutions to the climate crisis.
Lauriston Farm was set up as a response to our climate crisis. It is based on agroecological principles, which prioritise local food chains (and hence reduce food miles), build soil health (which captures carbon), work to enhance biodiversity (improving the health of the ecosystem) and engaging local communities. We believe that this way of working is an important way forward, in terms of trying to shift practices that are destroying our world towards ones that work with people and nature.
