June 6 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
A white wavy line on a green background above the words: Find out more about this... Workshop with sliding scale ticket prices for community solidarity

Join Lauriston Wildflowers for an exploration of the wonderful world of the plants beneath our feet in the lawn and in meadows. Open to curious people of all ages! We’ll be getting familiar with our common grassland wildflowers and some of the insects that visit them, as well as exploring the adaptations needed by grassland plants to survive.

In the 20th century, the UK lost 97% of our wildflower meadows so we will also look at the importance of these ecosystems and how we can care for lawns, meadows and grassland to encourage more wild plants and animals.

This session is for people of any age and will be child-friendly. Please let us know if there’s anything particular you need from us to help you or your family participate. The nearest toilet will be at the farm or Toby Carvery – around a 10-15 minute walk away from the meadow. Please dress for the weather!

The what3words location for the meadow entrance is remove.super.lawn.
