Propagation Workshop: Getting Good at Growing From Seed

April 19 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

A white wavy line on a green background above the words: Find out more about this... Workshop with sliding scale ticket prices for community solidarity

Growing from seed is incredibly rewarding and there’s hardly room here to list all the benefits – from saving you money and reducing plastic use, to helping reclaim community ownership of the food system! It just takes a bit of know-how, and we’re here to share our top tips and tools of the trade.

In this workshop from our Market Garden team, we will cover:

  • seed sowing (into takeaway containers)
  • soil blocking
  • propagating from cuttings
  • transplanting (tomato plants)

Who is this for?

This workshop is for home growers, allotment holders and aspiring growers, with content aimed at adults and interested young people (not so much for children).

Tickets

There are three ticket prices:

Solidarity – offer if you can: £15

Standard ticket: £10

Solidarity – take if you need: £5

Choosing to pay the higher Solidarity rate helps us make the event accessible to those who can’t afford the standard ticket price. We suggest considering this if you are able to meet your needs with money to spare. Please take the discounted ticket if you need to.
