Introduction to Growing Your Own Vegetables

Spaces available on the 2024 courses…

group of people on veg growing course in Community Garden

This is a 6 week course on how to grow your own vegetables. This course is a beginners course and covers soil, compost, seeds, propagation, pests, harvesting and eating!

We have two courses running simultaneously from May 16th until June 20th every Thursday. One course will run on Thursday mornings 10-12 and the other on Thursday evenings 6-8pm.

The course is open to everyone and we do not want money to be any kind of barrier. However, we are going to ask that if you are in a position to make a donation towards the costs of a 12 hour course, then we would gratefully accept this! We wholeheartedly encourage anyone who wants to come but would find a financial contribution difficult, to still come and attend. Your presence is also a gift! Our suggestion for a donation would be from zero to £100. If a course is oversubscribed, we will prioritise people from the local area.

If you are interested to attend, please contact Lisa communityallotments@lauristonfarm.org for an application form. We have a few spaces left for the afternoon course, and more for the evening course. We’d love to have you join us!
