Having previously worked on organic farms and market gardens, I believe farming in tandem with nature is the future of food production. It’s an exciting time to be involved in agriculture, a rich conversation is developing globally within farming circles which is bringing many new ideas to the table. The emerging science of soil microbiology is shedding light on the complex interactions between soil, plant and animal health and permaculture practices are gaining more traction. This project will allow us to run some really interesting trials, I’m especially interested in how we can improve and maintain soil health through various regenerative techniques being implemented throughout the farm!
